“A dream of starting a business is like a cup of black coffee without sugar—bitter at first, challenging to swallow, yet its raw strength and authenticity fuel the soul, revealing its true sweetness only to those brave enough to endure the journey.”

A Letter to Myself
Dear Me,
As I sit here today, I want to remind you of the dreams you carry in your heart—the ones that sometimes feel too big for your current life, yet they are the very dreams that have the power to push you forward. It’s not easy, I know. The journey to build something from nothing, to create something meaningful, is not a path paved with gold. It’s filled with obstacles, self-doubt, and moments of frustration. But that’s exactly why you must keep going.

I remember the early days of Tom Cafe—the endless nights sketching out ideas, the uncertainty in the air, and the weight of financial struggles. I remember feeling that sense of wonder and excitement as I imagined a place where young, creative minds could meet, share, and learn. But that vision didn’t come easily. It took more than just dreams—it took hard work, sleepless nights, and the strength to keep pushing when the road was tough.
And yet, I look back now, and I see how far we’ve come. From that tiny, rundown house to a space filled with love, creativity, and the warmth of people who believed in the dream. Tom Cafe wasn’t just a coffee shop—it was a manifestation of our resilience, our passion, and our commitment to building something that mattered. It wasn’t just about the coffee; it was about the stories we shared, the connections we made, and the lessons we learned along the way.

Now, looking ahead, I know there will be more challenges. There will be moments when you feel like giving up, when everything seems uncertain, and when the odds feel stacked against you. But remember this: you’ve done it before. You’ve turned dreams into reality. And though the road may be difficult, your dreams are worth every sacrifice. They will shape you, teach you, and help you grow in ways you never thought possible.
Keep believing in yourself, no matter how hard it gets. When things seem impossible, just take a deep breath and keep moving forward. Your dream, like that cup of black coffee without sugar, might taste bitter at times, but the sweetness always comes at the end. It’s the journey, the effort, and the perseverance that will bring you the success and fulfillment you seek.
And always remember—success is not measured by how far you’ve gone, but by how much you’ve learned, how much you’ve grown, and how much you’ve given along the way.
I believe in you, and I know you’ve got this.
With all my love and encouragement,
Tom
